HVALF Endorses Yousef Rabhi for Ann Arbor Mayor; Derek Dobies for Jackson Mayor; Dave Zeglen for AA Ward 4; Cynthia Harrison for AA Ward 1
Huron Valley Area, MI — At its March meeting, delegates from the 39 union locals composing the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation (HVALF) voted to endorse Yousef Rabhi for Ann Arbor Mayor and Derek Dobies for Jackson Mayor. At its April meeting, delegates voted to endorse Dave Zeglen for Ann Arbor City Council Ward 4, and Cynthia Harrison for Ann Arbor City Council Ward 1.

HVALF Demands Full Transparency, Public Hearings on Washtenaw County Data Center Proposals
Washtenaw County, MI – At its November 6th meeting, delegates of the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation (HVALF) unanimously voted to call for a full, transparent, and democratic review of the all ongoing data center proposals in the region, including in Ypsilanti, Saline, and Howell Townships.

HVALF Endorses Washtenaw ISD’s Career Technical Education Millage for Better Schools and More Union Jobs.
Ann Arbor, MI – At its August 7th meeting, delegates of the Huron Valley Area Labor Federation (HVALF) voted to endorse Washtenaw Intermediate School District’s (WISD)’s Career Technical Education (CTE) millage proposal on the ballot in Washtenaw County this November. The proposal would fund hands-on training for students from diverse backgrounds for good, union jobs outside of traditional four-year degrees.
